Requirements

Students applying to Campbell River School District have several options for programs.

Students who are enrolling with Campbell River School District International Student Programs for a graduation program should be prepared to study for a minimum of two years and longer if students require significant English language development. International students wishing to graduate are invited to start their program in grade 9 with the Campbell River School District.

All students will be offered additional ESL language support via the English language learner program should they require additional support. Students considering the graduation program should target an IELTS score of 4.0 as a minimum requirement for success in English 10 academic courses.

Each program requires an online application to be completed via our True North online application portal

Prior to applying if you wish to check on school availability or for specific requests, please email the program at International@sd72.bc.ca

Our academic advisor regularly oversees students and their success at school. Our program is quick to intervene and provide support should students require additional help.

Students arriving in September are welcomed with a full day orientation followed by weekly check-ins and mini sessions to make sure students are well integrated in their first month. Regular monthly lunch meetings offer students the chance to ask questions and hear about program updates. It allows our program staff to check in on students and ensure they are doing well at school and at home.
