How to Be Prepared for Your Application

Applying is easy when you are prepared. Please read the steps below carefully and make sure you have everything ready before you begin your online application.

Step 1: Choose the Right Program

Campbell River School District offers several program options. Before applying, decide which program best fits your goals:

Program Options

  • Semester Program
    Language Immersion and Cultural Experience 5-months. 
  • Academic Year Program
  •  Graduation Pathway – Dogwood Diploma
    Students applying for graduation should be prepared to study for a minimum of two years(longer if additional English language development is required).
    • Students are encouraged to begin in Grade 9.
    • Students should aim for a minimum IELTS score of 4.5 to be successful in English 10 academic courses.
    • Additional English Language Learner (ELL/ESL) support is available for all students who need it.

Step 3: Prepare All Required Documents

You should have all required documents ready before starting the online application. Applications cannot be completed without them.

Required Documents Checklist (All files must be in PDF or JPG format, unless noted otherwise)

 ✅ Letter of Reference from a teacher
 ✅ Student Letter of Intent
 ✅ Self‑Introduction Video
 ✅ Immunization Records
 ✅ Course Request Form
 ✅ Parent Consent and Waiver Form
 ✅ International Student Agreement

Self‑Introduction Video Guidelines

  • A short video introducing yourself
  • Speak clearly in English
  • Share your name, grade level, interests, and why you would like to study in Campbell River
  • Follow the upload instructions provided in the online application portal

👉 Tip: Make sure all documents and videos are clear, complete, and ready before you begin your application.

Step 4: Complete the Online Application

All applications are submitted through the True North Online Application Portal.

Once you are ready and have all documents prepared, proceed to the portal and follow the step-by-step instructions to submit your application.
