Trade Sampler

Not sure what trade you might be interested in? Explore a range of trades including carpentry, electrical, heavy equipment, welding, plumbing and metal fabrication with the Trade Sampler at North Island College.

This program offers a great opportunity to explore multiple trades through a combination of hands-on projects and classroom learning before committing to a Youth Train in Trades program.

Students also build essential skills in safety, workplace skills, and project planning. Gain valuable experience and insight to help you make an informed decision about your future in the trades, learn the industry requirements for a variety of trades and how to access training, apprenticeship, and employment.

This dual-credit program allows students to earn credits toward their high school graduation.
