Share Your Love for Campbell River & Invite an International Student into Your Home

The district's international student program invites you to consider hosting one or two of our international students who will study here starting in September 2025. These students are in grades 9 through 12 and will study at Carihi or Timberline.

Why do international students choose Campbell River? We have an incredible community, amazing families and exceptional schools that offer these students a fantastic experience for their time abroad.

Homestay families are expected to provide a welcoming and safe home, parental supervision, a private bedroom, a good WiFi connection, and three healthy meals, plus snacks each day.

In exchange, the international student program provides $1,025 monthly compensation per student, training and ongoing coaching, and a team-based approach and support.
